Work Routine: A Photo A Day, Part 02

Here I am at our school’s Morning Assembly, saying the Buddhist prayers.  The students and Thai teachers all wai during this call-and-response; I think I’m the only farang who prays along with the kids.  I don’t exactly know what we’re chanting — I think it’s the 38 precepts of Buddhism — and I want to see if I can find a translation of what’s being said.

Work Routine: A Photo A Day, Part 01

Starting today, I will post a photo every day showing my daily routine teaching at a large bilingual school in Thailand from the early morning into the evening.  Today’s photo shows me working hard in my office (the Reading/ESL Room) at 7am this morning (Monday, 25 August). I’m writing lesson plans for P4 Reading (Weeks 17 through 19).
